prtconf is about as close as you'll come.

Thanks for that,
I am also looking to change the resolution in my monitor. Is there something similar like SAM in HP UX so I can play around with the X server, monitor etc??

Thanks very much

I guess that admintool is closest to sam.

The admintool does not seem to have any kind of resolution functionality at all. Is there any command that probes the monitor or the graphics adapter for different resolutions?

Please help

We don't have any boxes with a graphics head, so I can't really be sure. But
man -k graph | grep "config.*1m"
points out some obvious candidates. leoconfig is the only one I see in our /etc/init.d/* files. And the comments in there suggest changing the resolution and just rebooting would do it. Have you tried that?
