Hi

May I know is there a way to read/copy a mainframe (IBM OS/390) dataset (sequential file) into a UNIX directory?

Thank you for your time.

Bug

Hi I hope This can help you. Since I was 7 years in IBM mainframe
before my change to true64 unix maybe this can help you. Here with true64 unix from digital I use SNA/rje software. This make terminal Emulation to the IBM machine. When the SNA engine is active then you can use ftp to connect. Since I'm still new to unix
I hope this helps you.

Thank you Peterh. May I know is this SNA/rje a built in utility of UNIX? I suppose here you're refering to Pulling dataset FROM Unix right?

The SNA sowftware is extra. It is a build. It is extra you have to buy. This connection is like pickup and dropoff of data in unix to another machine.Hope this helps
