Match up permission

I'd like to change my test server folder to match with my production server folder.

lets say, production and test server folder names, accounting.

production has perm of 775 on accounting folder, 777 on a few sub folders, and 755 on a bunch of files.

my goal is to match apple to apple on permission on folder/sub-folders and files.
I know now to do this in manual process, but will take me days/months to match up folders/subfolders/files.

Thank you for your help in advance.

my manual process:
Code:
chmod 775 accounting
cd accounting
chmod 777 sub-folders
cd to each sub-folders
chmod 755 on each files

As long as the data matches, folder names, file names across two dirs and you just want the attributes, you might look at ---attributes-only option of GNU cp.
