UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Hi Help,

I have two files namely a.txt and b.txt

a.txt looks like

1 2 2
1 3 3
2 4 4
4 5 6
6 7 7

b.txt looks like,

b.txt
1 2 1
1 3 2
2 4 3
3 4 4
4 5 5
6 7 6

a.txt and b.txt are quite similar in the form that

Code:

$1 and $2 of both the files matches

. Also,b.txt has one extra line, line 4.
I would like to first remove that line completely and then the output should look like

Code:

$1 of a.txt,$2 of a.txt,$3 of a.txt,$4 of b.txt

.

Below is the output file.

op.txt
1 2 2 1
1 3 3 2
2 4 4 3
4 5 6 5
6 7 7 6
