UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Im getting stumped on one of my unix problems. Im a college student taking unix and for one of my assignments I am to write a few programs. I done the programs but on one of them I have to modify it by using sed instead of a while do loop. here's the while loop

while [ "$#" -gt 1 ]
do
filelist="$filelist $1"
shift
done

And now I have use the sed command instead of the while but it has to do the same job. Im seriously loss you guys and gals . HELP PLZ, plz you guys dnt make me beg, PLZ! Any help will do, Im lookn for a good, extremely good push in the right direction. THANX
