putty is a badly needed option in this poll. It's a cross-platform terminal which can also talk to com ports.

We have Secure CRT in my company (which I am being off-shored from soon) and it's so useful that I will purchase an individual licence if my next employer doesn't have it.

It emulates pretty most things pretty seamlessly and is better than PuTTY for sure, but you do have to pay for it.

And how do you guys start a script in a new terminal of your choice please?
Using -c or -e are the usual suspects...

I'm not too sure what you are asking. Please excuse my ignorance.

If I want a script to run in a new window, then I clone a session (opens a new ssh connection with auto-login) and then run the script there rather than running a command that opens a new one.
