seq is non-standard, and since we're using bash we should use bash's arithmetic test (( )):

Code:
mute@tiny:~$ ./script
lowest? 5
5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12
mute@tiny:~$ cat script
#!/bin/bash

arr=( {1..12} )
read -p 'lowest? ' min

for i in "${arr[@]}"; do
  if (( i >= min )); then
    out+=( "$i" )
  fi
done

(
  IFS=,
  echo "${out[*]}"
)

creating our own subset array allows bash to expand the array and insert the commas so we don't have to worry about trailing ones. we set IFS in a subshell so that we don't modify the original one and have to worry about setting it back.

Hitachi arrays to HP-UX 11.11

We have 2 servers (L1000 and rp7410) running 11.11. We would like to hook them up to either a Hitatchi AMS 2500 or Hitachi USPV via fiber channel.
