How to change colours in Linux Terminal Xfce?

Hi all - just started using Linux Mint 17 and I need to change the Foreground & Background Colours for the Terminal, my eyesight is not what it used to be many years ago, so any help would be much appreciated.

If it's the Xfce's Terminal, try

Quote:
Edit -> Preferences... -> Click on the Colors Tab -> there you are
Text color = Foreground color.

Hi, thanks for your response. I don't have any menu bars or drop-down menu's on the terminal, it's just a box with Terminal & - + X at the top & the prompt "john@johns-EasyNote ~ $" inside the box, so I don't know where to find the Edit -> Preferences that you refer to.

There is another way to open the Preferences window, it's described on the website I posted in my previous post. Could you please try that?

Quote:
To configure Terminal, choose Edit → Preferences... or right-click the terminal area of the window and choose Preferences....
Hope this helps.
