How to replace \ with / in a file?
After grep line with AAA/BBB/CCC from an XML file, the output file consists only the line as AAA\BBB\CCC..

How do i fix this. ???

can someboody please help with this??

Could you post an anonymized part of that xml file that would show this behavior
and could you specify what you would like the output to be like
and also what grep command you used?

you can process this output this way for instance
Code:
grep ..... | sed 's/\/\//g'

but for more complex cases on processing xml files, you should consider perl. It involves functions such as urldecode, which fits your case.

Neither perl nor grep is necessary for this, sed can handle it on its own:

sed -n '/<regexp-from-grep>/ s/&#x5c;/\//gp'
