Cannot cd to dir with space

I have a script that I am trying to use. I need it to run from a certain directory. I have tried the following:

Code:
SCRIPT_DIR=$PWD
MYDIR="/filemount/files/Move Files"
cd "$MYDIR"
$SCRIPT_DIR/movefiles.bash

I have tried to run it. but I always get "no such file or directory" from the script when it gets to "Move" because "move has a space between Move and Files.

The error DOES not occur until the line $SCRIPT_DIR is reached. Then it runs like this:
/tmp
: line 6: /Move: No such file or directory

I have also tried:

Code:
SCRIPT_DIR=$PWD
MYDIR=/filemount/files/Move Files
cd "$MYDIR"
$SCRIPT_DIR/movefiles.bash

I have even tried find - /filemount/files -name "Move Files" -type d
This doesn't work either. I get "broken path" I do not have -print0 on my find command.

Anyone have clues how to make the cd work in the script?
I tried to run it line by line, and it does actually cd to the path, but when it gets to SCRIPT_DIR it dies.
SCRIPT_DIR is PWD and this is /tmp/test dir.

The script fails on the following line:
$SCRIPT_DIR/movefiles.bash with this error:

Code:
$SCRIPT_DIR/movelst.bash
/tmp/testdir: line 6: /filemount/files/Move: No such file or directory

Most likely the issue is with the movefiles.bash. What's on line 6 of this script?
Can you post that script as well?

/$SCRIPT_DIR/movefiles.bash is on line 6. That is all.

Try quoting it. "${SCRIPT_DIR}/movefiles.bash"

Not sure if this what you mean...
Longhand using OSX 10.7.5, default bash terminal...
Code:
Last login: Mon Jun 16 20:58:52 on ttys000
AMIGA:barrywalker~> mkdir '/tmp/My Files/'
AMIGA:barrywalker~> MYDIR='/tmp/My Files/'
AMIGA:barrywalker~> cd "$MYDIR"
AMIGA:barrywalker/tmp/My Files> _

If not then I stand corrected...

EDIT:
Addendum:-
Code:
Last login: Mon Jun 16 21:00:34 on ttys000
AMIGA:barrywalker~> rm -rf '/tmp/My Files'
AMIGA:barrywalker~> mkdir '/tmp/My Files/'
AMIGA:barrywalker~> MYDIR='/tmp/My Files/'
AMIGA:barrywalker~> cd "$MYDIR"
AMIGA:barrywalker/tmp/My Files> SCRIPT_DIR='/Users/barrywalker/'
AMIGA:barrywalker/tmp/My Files> cp "$SCRIPT_DIR"'drawer.txt' "$MYDIR"
AMIGA:barrywalker/tmp/My Files> ls
drawer.txt
AMIGA:barrywalker/tmp/My Files> _
