Shrinking partitions in enterprise
Hello , to invent some software we need to massive shrink system volumes in our company (800 pc windows xp) . For that purpose we are planing to run remotely some linux distro with fdisk script. Some one have similar experience? ? Any information would be helpfull . THanks.Smilie

Not very clear what you are trying to achieve... Do you mind explaining a bit:

I suppose most companies dealing with PC in their office have means to make images they deploy on a given partition...

We got some pc. Every single one of them got only 1 partition , we want to move some free space from it to unpartitioned space . The problem is that the pc number is hight , so it realy will be stupid to run around with live usb and do it manualy , so im asking for some advices from where do i start . Sorry for my english.

Dont you have the possibility to boot from network?
You dont say if you are to reinstall the PC...
If you want to try to shrink only I think you have no other choice to pass and see all the PCs one by one... because you will have to see how much space you can recuperate and then use a product able to do such thing online...
