If you don't want it interactive, why use more? Wrong tool for the job.

Code:
show() {
        V=$1
        clear
        while [ "$V" -gt 0 ] && read LINE
        do
                echo "$LINE"
                let V=V-1
        done
}

fold -s < inputfile > /tmp/$$

exec 5</tmp/$$

ROWS=20

show $ROWS <&5

sleep 10

show $ROWS <&5

Yes... To do the same thing with more, you can
1) run more filename
2) hit the spacebar

...Or install the third-party brute-forcing utility expect, which will allow you to laboriously manhandle interactive applications via a strange new language and a pretend terminal.

It's intentionally difficult for a program to pretend to be a human sitting at the keyboard.

Or if you just want to dump two screen worth of lines:
Code:
head -$((LINES*2) filename

Your insistence on using more for no obvious reason makes us inclined to suspect this is homework!

homework? with just one command? lol

The reason to use the more command is for checking the txt file without to use any script program. Through script program I can do it but through command not. That's why I am trying to find it.

You'd be surprised at some of the stuff people get for homework Smilie

That doesn't sound like much of a reason to use more, though. What are you "checking" the file for?

For example, to check for something on the third "page", you might (or could) use something like this:
Code:
$ sed -n "$((LINES*2+1)),$((LINES*3)){/Search_Term/p;}" filename

Does it matter whether you use more, something else or a script, so long as you get the desired result?
