[Solved] Passwordless authentication lost between cluster nodes
after copying the public key then also the passwordless authentication is not working

Please be more descriptive about exactly what you copied, from where and to where you put it. And the title of this thread does not correlate with the problem description.

Is the connection lost? Or does it just not work (i.e. the connection is never made)?

Assuming the latter, initially check the permissions on
  • The user's home directory;
  • The .ssh directory; and
  • The authorized_keys file
This should be
  • Not writable to anyone except the owner;
  • 700; and
  • 600
respectively.

Moderator's note: I've moved this thread from the AIX Forum as it's not specifically an AIX question. All the same, I'm not sure if there's a significance in the part regarding "cluster nodes" in relation to SSH. If it's found that there is, please can someone return this to the AIX forum?
