Hi bakunin...
Another option is to write to a log file of some sort and have that parsed from the calling process.
This was the main intention...

As for posting in the experts forum, phew, if only I was that good...

However I do enjoy pushing things to their limits with "minimal kit".

(Rigged for silent running for a while now.)

False modesty. You are miles beyond 'beginner'. You don't know everything, neither do I.

Hi Corona688...

On the contrary, false modesty does not come into it...

To quote Dirty Harry:-
"A man's gotta know his limitations..."

I know mine, but I will attempt to solve relatively simple problems on here, however,
when I see some professional level replies I realise mine are probably trivial.

I am still an amateur and it probably shows, but false modesty? No!

Beginner? Probably not, but amateur I still am.

I have learnt a lot from you guys and I am approaching the level of an average coder.

I code badly, I do not stick to conventions and finally if there is a back door, and I am
interested, I will find it.

That certainly does not make me expert by any stretch of the imagination.

However thanks for the upgrade... <wink>
