What do you mean by OK>
i think OK> just means that you are in a dirrectory called OK>???

I think he is talking about Sun's Openboot. I have a Sun manual called OpenBoot Command Reference Manual that describes these commands. I also attended a course called Sun Systems Fault Analysis ST-350 which covered them in some detail. The book from the course is also a good reference. Some of this might be on Sun's website.

Greetings friends, I would like to 'clone' the system/root hard disk with dd. (Solaris 10 on SPARC). If I understood correctly, 'OK Prompt' can use dd command? Can it mount drives? (to avoid any possibility of cloning the wrong drive, I'd like to output dd to file) thanks. (3 Replies)
