Tarring files up to four days old

Hi I need help in tarring files up to four days old. I have been doing this:

Code:
find . -mtime -4|xargs tar -cvf mar4.tar

However, it seems like it's tarring everything but leaving those that are 4 days old and newer (which I want tarred and everything else not)

Never mind, I got it by doing this:

Code:
find . -type f -mtime -4|xargs tar -cvf abc.tar

The find mtime is nice for casual stuff like log file finding, but for precise date-time bracketing, touch marker files and "find ... -newer marker1 ! -newer marker2". After, make marker2 into marker1. The gnu/LINUX date command is good for formatting dates.
