How about redesigning your job to send a check-sum file for each successful transmission?

This way you can not only make sure that the file transmission was successful but also detect any possible errors that may have occurred during transmission.

You mean when file are generating in Server A and getting sftped to server B that time for each file transmission we should have check-sum ?

Yes, you can program the JOB to generate another file (check-sum) that will be transferred right after each transmission. So you can have a script that will not look for the original file but the check-sum file instead and check against the transferred file to verify file size & cksum.

OK, how about using fuser command to check if any processes are using a specified file?
