Cp: cannot stat...: no such file or directory

Please review the issue below and tell me what I need to do. I cannot copy the zip file.

Code:
[oracle@localhost media]$ ls -l
total 10
drwxrwx--- 1 root vboxsf 0 Feb 1 16:10 sf_Temp
drwxrwx--- 2 root vboxsf 4096 Jan 31 17:59 sf_VBoxShared
dr-xr-xr-x 6 oracle root 2048 Dec 19 09:20 VBOXADDITIONS_4.2.6_82870

[oracle@localhost media]$ cp -r /media/sf_Temp/*.zip/ /home/oracle/media
cp: cannot stat `/media/sf_Temp/*.zip/': No such file or directory

[oracle@localhost media]$ touch sf_Temp
touch: cannot touch `sf_temp': Permission denied

[oracle@localhost media]$ su
Password:
[root@localhost media]# sudo cp -r /media/sf_temp/*.zip/ /home/oracle/media
cp: cannot stat `/media/sf_temp/*.zip/': No such file or directory

Remove the front slash after *.zip
Code:
cp -r /media/sf_Temp/*.zip/ /home/oracle/media

and try:
Code:
cp -r /media/sf_Temp/*.zip /home/oracle/media/

BTW I think the touch is failing because your user do not have write permission on that directory.

Change directory to parent and check the user permission on directory: media
Code:
cd ..
ls -l | grep media

Resolved.Cp: cannot start...no such file or directory

Thanks you so much. Your suggestion worked.

CHANGE

Code:
[oracle@localhost media]$ cp -r /media/sf_Temp/*.zip/ /home/oracle/media

TO // by removing the front slash after *.zip

Code:
[oracle@localhost media]$ cp -r /media/sf_Temp/*.zip /home/oracle/media
