Question verification?
I'm really new at this and wondering how I would go about adding code to my script to verify that all records loaded successfully? (I am loading a file into a table) i'm using the Korn shell.
I'm also having trouble verifying parts in the header as i do not really understand the header and trailer concept? I will need to verify that the record count in my header matches the number of records sent. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

wc -l filename

gives the number of lines in a file. What you seem to want is fuzzy. What is a table?
A file or a database table?

Well, first, I am acquiring file names in chronological order, then processing those files and after processing I want to verify the record count in the header matches the number of records sent, I will then delete the header and trailer records before the database load. After loading the file into the table I need to make sure they loaded successfully. does this help?

this may help also, I need to create a count in my file to compare to the header count in another file ttlacct where record types A are for header record, and the number of header records on the file will be populated in the tract field of the ttlacct table.

HACMP verification

Hi, every midnight hacmp verification is run automatically. clverify.log says there is no erro bu clutils.log says there is 1 error but when i look at the clverify.log no problem at all.
