Copy files to folder.

Hi,

I have a folder which contains some files like this.
Code:

bin.000001
bin.000002
bin.000003
bin.000004
bin.000005
bin.000129
bin.index

I want to copy all these files to a new folder except the last files.
Please provide some ideas.

What does "last files" mean? Give an example of input and expected result, please.
Shell and type of UNIX would help as well.

Hi,

Last files means the files bin-000129 and bin-index.
These two files should not be there in the other directory.

In the other directory the files present should be
bin-000001
bin-000002
bin-000003
bin-000004
bin-0000120

So decide then is it bin.0000xx (dot) OR bin-00000xx ?

The input folder contains these files
bin.000001
bin.000002
bin.000003
bin.000004
bin.000005
bin.000129
bin.index

and the output folder should conatin these files only
bin.000001
bin.000002
bin.000003
bin.000004
bin.000005

The files
bin.000129 and bin.index should be there in the output folder.
