Error cannot find file directory

hi,

i use command at below to copy the file and put it in the new file (if no such file, it will create right )

Code:
cat id_rsa.pub >>~/.ssh/authorized_keys

it give me error

Code:
bash: /home/pc2/.ssh/authorized_keys : No such file or directory

can anyone tell me why this happened ? thanks in advance for sorry for the ignorance

check whether you have the .ssh directory in your home path (if not, then create it )
