Need help to stop a qlogin session

Hi Everyone,
I am a new unix user. I started a qlogin session in SSH terminal, then I closed the window assuming that the qlogin session will be closed automatically. But it was still running. I tried to kill the process using kill ID or kill -9 ID, but the ID I got using
ps aux | grep qlogin keeps changing.
Does anyone have good suggestions on how to stop the qlogin process ? Thanks a lot.

Tony

Btw, I can get a 4 digit job ID (which doesn't change) using qstat. But the kill command says that it could not find that process.

Try using:

qdel PID

ssh session getting hung (smilar to hpux telnet session is getting hung after about 15 minutes)

Our network administrators implemented some sort of check to kill idle sessions and now burden is on us to run some sort of keep alive. Client based keep alive doesn't do a very good job. I have same issue with ssh. Does solution 2 provided above apply for ssh sessions also? (1 Reply)
