Can someone tell how to find out how long a process has been running? I want to find something that is usually there that the paging system can check on.

Thanks

Thank you. I am trying to find a process that I can check on meaning the system is up and have it page me if it is down.

if the system is down, your paging system will not work if it is local to the downed system ... however, you can have a ping script running from a separate box that pages you if the remote system is down ...
