How to Update DB table from txt file using CRONJOB in Unix Shell Script
Hi Experts,
can guide how we can Update a Database Table using a txt file source Using
Unix Shell Scripts.
What are the Cron Jobs codes can written to Update DB table.
txt file contains record like data.
US 09/03/2012 User DocType DocID.
these above feilds in txt files need to be updated in Db table.
Column Country Date User DocName DocID
US 09/03/2012 Axb124 paySlip PTIN4574
can let me know the code and how we schdule it evry day

We know nothing about your system (OS and version) nor about your DB...

My OS is Windows. My DB is Java Dicyionary Table.

If you are talking about oracle database use the options SQL Loader tool. which can load the data from flat file. below link helpfull.

Schedule this syntanx(sqlldr username@server/password control=loader.ctl
)as per the requirement.

Im missing somthing here, if your OS is Windows, why are you asking "in UNIX and using CRON" using shell script?
