Java Passing a Unix parameter to SQLPlus login command

hi All,

i m trying to pass a user choice paramter from unix to sqlplus connect command

here i want the user to enter the username and password he wants to connect in sql plus through read in unix and then automatically connect to that instance.
Code:
sqlplus -s $1/$2

where $ 1 and $2 will b taken from user.

please help in implementing this

Something like this is all you need

USER_PASSWORD=user/password
sqlplus -s << EOF >> $SQL_LOG
   $USER_PASSWORD
EOF

# sqlconn() {  sqlplus $1/$2@TESTDB; }

you can add to this fun to your profile for later use
and then

# sqlconn dba Passw0rd?

but i dont recommend this way because of password is clear and accessable if you didnt erase the history.
