Getting some arguments but not others

I have a tcsh script that I want to call using the following expressions, with the --sw argument being optional:

Code:
/home/chrisd/tatsh/trunk/hstmy/bin/tcsh/printTable.tcsh $msg
/home/chrisd/tatsh/trunk/hstmy/bin/tcsh/printTable.tcsh --sw=15 $msg

I want to store $msg in a variable called strLst in the script. I am doing something like this:

Code:
set firstArg = 1
set lastArg = $#argv
set strLst = `echo $argv[$firstArg-$lastArg] | awk '{sub(/^[ \t]+/, "")};1'`

echo "All Arguments = $*"
echo "argv[firstArg] = $argv[$firstArg]"
echo "argv[lastArg] = $argv[$lastArg]"
echo "argv[firstArg-lastArg] = $argv[$firstArg-lastArg]"

The problem is that I want to capture whatever is in $msg in strLst, but without the optional entry --sw=value in it.

Example
Code:
set msg = "-u,--usage -e,--examples -h,--help"
 /home/chrisd/tatsh/trunk/hstmy/bin/tcsh/printTable.tcsh $msg
 /home/chrisd/tatsh/trunk/hstmy/bin/tcsh/printTable.tcsh --sw=15 $msg

In both these cases I want

Code:
strLst = "-u,--usage -e,--examples -h,--help"
