How can I display a message to the crt whenever someone logs on? They do not see a unix prompt. I need to easily update this also.

This depends on the users shell/ What do you mean by "they do not see a unix prompt"? If they are running some non-standard software as their "shell", it will need to be modified to display a banner. Most shells arrarnge to display the file /etc/motd at login time. You might try putting something there.

We are running a third party application that keeps the user in a window screen and I don't have root access.
But the good news is I found the file I needed to make this happen in their software.
Thanks for you help
