hi!i want to print all registered users(theres a difference for registered users and logged users right?we can print logged users using who command but registered?) in the system,the groups and my current running processes(with the command ps -ef , ok i can get all the running processes in the system,mine and from other users...but what about MY processes only? :S ) !i've searched the web for this commands but i couldn't find anything...:/

You can get the all usename with the help of below command.

cut -d':' -f1 /etc/passwd

and you can get your process alone with the help of below command

To list only for that userid ..

Code:

$ prstat -u username 1 1

To get the list of registered users in the machine ..

$ cut -d: -f1 < /etc/passwd

In solaris ..

$ cat /etc/group

Use this, will list the list of registered user id associated with group id.

awk -F':' '{ print $1,$3,$4 }' /etc/passwd
