Odd while Creating Symbolic Link

Hi,
Code:
 # mkdir usr3

  # ls -l /h/uxossolbld10/0/teamcity/agent
  total 8
  drwxrwxr-x  14 test1    rdl          512 Nov 30 02:54 conf
  drwxrwxr-x   3 test1    rdl          512 Jun 24 14:21 scripts
  drwxrwxr-x  10 test1    rdl          512 Jun  3  2011 teamcity
  drwxrwxr-x   4 test1    rdl          512 Dec  6 02:10 tools

# ln -s /h/uxossolbld10/0/teamcity/agent/ usr3

  # ls -l usr3
  total 2
  lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     other         32 Dec  6 02:32 agent -> /h/uxossolbld10/0/teamcity/agent

  # cd usr3

 # ls
  agent

I created symbolic link for the folder “agent”. But when I cd to the dir usr3 and put ls, it doesn’t list the contents of the directory agent.

Instead there is a directory agent.

Can someone please help?

Thanks & Regards,
Divakar

Follow the blow steps

Code:
$cd test

$ls
file1  file2

$ln -s ../test ../symbolic_test ( symbolic_test should not exists at that location , it will be created when you execute this line )

$ls -l ../symbolic_test
lrwxrwxrwx 1 raavul users 6 2011-12-06 04:46 symbolic_test -> ./test

$ ls ../symbolic_test
file1  file2
