wallpaper anyone?

we have a UNIX workstation using 'CDE' desktop manager, i'ts kind of dull seeing the same wallpaper all over again and again and again everyday. is it possible put my own wallpaper? how? i'm sure it is not similar with windows wherein you just put your bitmap file in the windows folder or is it not? Smilie

If I remember correctly, you have to get your file into .pm or .xpm format.

The printed CDE User's Guide and/or Advanced User's Guide has information on setting up the custom backdrops. You might be able to find the info on the web also...

thanks for the advise, one of the site i visited instructed me to do the following:

1. Create the backdrop images. They can be bitmap or pixmap files.
2. Place the backdrops in one of the following directories. (You may have to create the directory.)

System-wide backdrops: /etc/dt/backdrops
Personal backdrops: HomeDirectory/.dt/backdrops

3. Choose Restart Workspace Manager from the Workspace menu.

and know what? it didn't work Smilie any good suggestions? i already created backdrops directory as my personal backdrops. i also tried looking for the system-wide backdrops and it does not seem to exist Smilie
