Question crontab script

Hi guys
Can someone help me with a crontab script please?
I have to sort the files from /bin and put the first 3 of then (with size and path) in /home/user/bin_size
i write the command:
Code:
find /bin/ | xargs ls -lS | awk 'FNR<4{print($5, $9)}' > /home/user/bin_size

which is working but when I put this in crontab nothing happened.I want to make this script working for all users
Can someone help me with this please? I don't know much about scripting.

What, exactly, did you put in crontab, and how exactly did you put it there? You need to give it time and date information on when to run the command, not just the line. See 'man 5 crontab'.
