Help with user accounts

I have a root access to a UNIX system. I want to create another account with administrative permissions (create users, delete them, manage print and system configuration), how do I do that?

I have a Solaris 9 (SunOS 5.9) installed. Please help. Smilie

You can use sudo to give a user the ability to run a few commands as root. You can get sudo at www.sunfreeware.com. And you can use our search function to find lots of sudo threads to get some tips.

Thanks so much, this will certainly help me. But just out of curiousity, isn't there an intrinsic way in SunOS, or any other UNIX flavor, to assign administrative roles to certain users?

HP-UX has similiar concept in SAM but I've never used it. All versions of unix have suid programs which is why sudo can work.
