and how did you solve it?

No. My only guess is that some rogue process is doing a kill -9 of every process on the system or only of root (this could be a programming error).

And again knowing the architecture and OS version does help...

Could be libraries corruption after an install of some product...
What did you do before this occured?

Hi, I am experiencing a weird thing on my SUNFIRE machine with Solaris 9 OS.
