last 90 days of ftp and telnet
Aix6.1

last | grep ftp shows me only 3 days.

last does not show me telnet login or the same as ftp.

i'd like to get the last 90 days of users who telnet or ftp to the box.

thanks in advance.

You won't get 90 days of data if there isn't 90 days of data in the log.

What date does it say the log was created?

If you have older wtmp's logged anywhere, you can feed them into last with last -f filename. (you might need to decompress them first).

check if you have
/var/adm/wtmp

To convert a binary record in wtmp format to an ASCII record called dummy.file, enter:

/usr/sbin/acct/fwtmp < /var/adm/wtmp > dummy.file

Well I have the programs and everything and the program itself seems to work, but they don't seem to be operateble.
