Try searching the Forum for "unix shell tutorial". You'll find some good posts explaining the different shells. Search for "unix shell tutorial" on Google and you'll find lots of online tutorials.

Cheers...James

zizu, Welcome to the forums Smilie

Head over to our FAQ Area - you'll find most of your initial questions and queries pre-answered there. You'll also find some good book recommendations for those starting out with UNIX/Linux.

If you have a specific architecture machine, and you're looking for a particular flavour of UNIX to install upon it, please let us know as much as possible about the target architecture and it's specifications.

Thanks,
ZB
