sudo login issue

I logged in through ssh, but can't re-login as root.
[alien@Arch~/tmp]sudo login
Arch login: root

Login incorrect
Arch login:

But I am sure my password is right. Why?

But on local tty1, this works.

try sudo su - login

Old 09-28-2011
try sudo su - login
is ok.

But I am wondering why sudo login does'nt work?
