I have written perl ping program to ping list of IPs one by one and print the status.But each and every time it is showing the status as Pass for all IPs even though the IP is wrong.

I have a Server that has 4 NICs, I've created 2 bonds
bond0(eth0-eth1) - 10.10.10.2
bond1(eth2-eth3) - 10.10.10.3
Each bound goes to a Storage Device which is directly connected
so bond0 goes to Storage_Controller_1 and 2 like this

We got a network card(e1000g0) with 1gb of speed and working with global zone. We got a new network interface card, we have to place that in slot and we have to use that card as dedicated network interface to the non-global zone(hyd_app) in V890.

I am able to ssh the machine from putty remotely.

I am using RHEL 5 . In my Linux Box i have two Lan cards (eth0 and eth1) .
"eth0" is connected with network 192.168.10.0 and "eth1" is connected with network 192.168.11.0 . Both Network are inter connected via routing .

by default the physical interface (eth1) and virtual interface eth1:0 will be having same mac address, is there any way we can assign separate mac addresses for both the interfaces.
would some one help me out in this.
