Question A Bugg In Cron ???

I ask myself about a bugg in cron, just an exemple :

00 12 25 * 1 /my/script

Normally this process is launched at 12h00 on monday the 25th because there is a AND (logic) between each field of the date.
But if it 's Monday not the 25th, the process is launched anyway !
And if it's the 25th but not Monday, the process is launched anyway !
Is it a bugg ? I didn't find any doc about this problem.
Thank you for your answer.

I usually put a line, such as below, taken from the crontab manpage, at the top of my crontab for a quick reference.

# MIN HOUR DAY MONTH DAYOFWEEK COMMAND

That means (I think) that since you have this command:
00 12 25 * 1 {command},
The script will execute at 12:00 on the 25th, and at 12:00 every Monday. I may be mistaken, but I think that's how it works...

If you only want it to run once, at a specific time/date, try the at command. Otherwise, some refining may be in order...

HTH, and please let me know if I'm mistaken! I've been awake for 30-some hours now, and my brain is fried!

No bug

No it is not a bug. Just the way it works. You either base your scheduling on week days OR fixed days. Using both does not make much sense anyway.

All right it's not a bug, but I disagree, using both could be very interesting specially with Christmas or others special date. Anyway thank you for your help.
