Regex quantifier question
I am trying to type a regular expression to find consecutive vowels in substrings, which is not that hard. I haven't done much work with REs, but I know the two components I need. I'm just not sure where to place them together...

Find a vowel:

Code:
sed -n '/[aeiou]/p' filename

quantifier:

Code:
{2,}

I'm just not sure how to place them together...any help?

Sed uses BRE - basic regular expressions:
Code:
sed -n '/[aeiou]\{2,\}/p'

With egrep and gnu sed you can use ERE - extended RE:
Code:
egrep '[aeiou]{2,}'
sed -rn '/[aeiou]{2,}/p'
