Question Help with defining PATH

Hi All,
I have a trivial question but I dont know how to solve it.
So basically I'm working on a USB key and I have a directory with some scripts which I use to work on files present in other directories within the USB or sometimes on the main harddisk too. The problem is every time I have to use a script from the "scripts" directory I have to start with
Code:
$ /Volumes/USB/Perl_course/Recent/Scripts/my_script

etc
Is there a way to shorten this so that every time I dont hv to redo a tab-complete mission to get to a script of interest?
Can someone suggest how to acheive this?
Cheers Smilie

You can temporarily change the executable search path by modifying the PATH variable.

In an opened terminal window or on the console enter export PATH=$PATH:/Volumes/USB/Perl_course/Recent/Scripts. Note that this sets the search path only for the current window (not others), and only as long as it's opened.
