Awk print all lines on match?

Actually it looks like it is working with just $0. Yesterday it didn't seem like it was working. But, I left it running all night last night and this morning I have 4 errors reported and it gave me all the necessary lines and put the date there. So I think I'm good at this point.

if you want the "error" line as well, try this:

awk '/error/,0'  yourInputFile

The commands output is either going to be OK or error followed by lines of information about the error and why it occured.
Is "command" a script ?
can you modify it ?
If so, modifying it directly to make it log the expected information in a separated error log and exit with a return code should be preferred rather than reparsing its output afterward.
