Question Matching A URL pattern

Code:
egrep -iow '(http[s]*[:][/]+|www[.])[^"\<>]*' url.txt

is this command logically incorrect to match a url pattern inside a file and display only the urls in the terminal???

Please rectify the error in my syntax ,
