Email Attachments

I use metasend to send an attachment to an email. The attached file has a .csv extension however when the email is received the extension is changed to .att. Does anyone know why ? I need the name to remain as .csv

Why - probably because the receiving system or software thinks it's a att file.

definition of att - scroll down to .att which states
Quote:
.att AT&T Group 4 Bitmap
I could not find a description of what that file type would look like - if you want it not to rename it, then you probably have to work on the receiving system/software. That's probably where the problem is. To test that thought, send the email to more than one location to see how other mail handlers do (send it to a yahoo account).
