Tools find command

How would I put each path the find command returns into a separate variable?

find . -type d -name *_criteria

./mycode/test/sts_criteria into variable $MyData(1)
./WWE/wwe_criteria into variable $MyData(2)
./aaa_criteris into variable $MyData(3)

?????

Thank you.

Find will produce a list of directories, so you could capture that list and then interate through it.

The code below sets dirList to a list of the output of your find command. From there, you could loop through the list and put the items into an array. I didnt test this...
Code:
set -A dirArray
index=0
dirList=$(find . -type d -name *_criteria)

for DIR in $dirList
do
   dirArray[$index]=$DIR
   let index+=1
done

google's code is for ksh. This is why you must specify what shell you are using.
