Lightbulb one teaching Tip

Student have huge interest about why so many expert choose use UNIX than MS Windows.

I consider that SHARE & OPEN is key point.Smilie

for one thing, UNIX has a great deal better security than Windows...

For two things, UNIX has much more flexibilty than windows....

For Three things, as you stated, Linux in many forms is freeware and you can develop it at your leisure without paying the OEM licensing fees...

to name a few...

Some reasons I like it are

- security
- programming
- flexibilty
- stable
- easy to tweak and change
- can make my own distro if I want Smilie

That's just a few of the reasons. Also the support for Linux/UNIX is great. Yeah sure there isn't some helpdesk like Winblows has though that many around teh world use Linux/UNIX and most are willing to help each other out Smilie
