Hi Friends
Pl. clarify the following.
1. By using ftp hostname we can connect each other as long as within the n/w. Provided user name and password.
2. Using mget****(required files with extension) can trasnsfer all the files(text as well as graphical formats).
3. How we can reproduce the imported files in windows-XP platform.

Kindly answer with all probable tips.

If you are thinking of using the windows command line version of ftp, then you will have to use multiple mgets interspersed with binary/ascii commands, assuming you want text file line endings converted.
Other ftp programs may have settings to automatically decide to copy in ascii format or binary.
3. Import the files into an empty folder/directory. Then copy/move

Please rephrase this sentence in good technical English and show logic and examples. The word "reproduce" is not a unix word and the word "reproduce" is not a Windows word. What do you mean?

This post is vague and very difficult to understand.
Please do not use obscure abbreviations. (e.g. n/w = network?).
