vi command history

How do you look at the whole list of previous commands you have used in VI? I know you can use the up and down arrows, but I know there's a way to see the full list.

MySQL .viminfo file

All the commands which you executed in vi are in the file .viminfo , which is in your home directory .

vim /home/user/.viminfo.

It has lot of vi details includes the command history .

In gvim you can use
:history all #It list all the history list in vim/gvim editor

if u want to list from 10 to 25 from search history you can go for

:history / 10,20

Posix is correct , if you edit .viminfo then you may lose some good amount of

U can also mention the mode of search history .
I mean
:history c or : #for command line history
:history s or / #for search string
:history e or = # for expression register history
:history a # all the above.

I've never used the word history before, but I randomly get my previous commands to appear. I can't figure out how I am doing it.
