Which player to install on Linux

Hi All,
I am very new to Linux... I have just installed Red hat Linux 5..
Can anybody pls tell me the way to install different players....

Do you mean music player or video player or something else or a combination? Your choice will also depend on which desktop manager you have installed, for Red Hat you will either have Gnome or KDE and both systems have standard players. You can always install your own, but that is a different question.
