Question Perl script not working

Hi Experts!!

I have written a very simple script in perl.The script is :

$ cat
 print "Hi there!\n";
When i ran the above perl script it is showing the following error:

HTML Code:
$ perl
-ksh: cd: bad substitution
Can anybody,help on this why this script is not working.. Smilie

Please post the output of the following commands:

type -a perl || type perl || which perl


alias perl
