Question creating domains
ok i am setting up dns or going to do it with solaris 9 once u setup the domain what file can u look @ to see if it setup or not

3 questions:

what do you mean setting up DNS?
are you talking as in setting up a DNS server?
or just useing DNS?

Oreilly has a really good book on DNS and BIND. i would go take a look at it very informative.

this is a howto from sun.com. setting up BIND is kinda stright forward w/ a slight bend to the left.

I highly suggest you goto your local book store and check out that book. I think you will walk away with a stronger grasp on how to implament it, configure it, and deploy it.

I havent played w/ DNS servers in years but i am sure i can dust off my notes if need be.

check amazon.com for publisher is Oreilly.

you can also check oreilly.com for a list fo there books.

it should be titled DNS and BIND
